Shepway Green Party and Folkestone and Hythe Liberal Democrat Party have worked together in Hythe since the 2019 elections.

With a big swing from the Tories, Jenni Hawkins has won the Kent County Council (KCC) by-election for the Green Party.

Shepway Green Party has announced local town councillor Jenni Hawkins as its candidate for Kent County Council in the 2 March Hythe West by-election.

The scheme, to develop 150 homes and a swimming pool on the prized seafront site , has been paused since October in the face of mounting costs amid financial uncertainty and soaring energy costs. Around £5 million has already been spent without a brick being laid and only the destruction of natural habitat to show for it.
