Police Bill protest
Thank you to all those who joined us at our gathering yesterday outside our MP’s office in Folkestone to oppose the Police Bill. We had supporters from the Labour Party, Extinction Rebellion, Animal Rebellion and Save Prince’s Parade, among others, alongside our Green Party councillors and supporters. Coinciding with protests in London, we wanted to send a message loud and clear that this bill is undemocratic, draconian and moving the UK towards becoming a police state.
There are only a few days left to take action to protect our right to protest. The Bill is currently going through the Lords so the most effective action you can take today is to write to as many of the Lords as possible – in particular the Labour Lords.
