April’s Supreme Court ruling on single-sex spaces and subsequent EHRC guidance created fear and uncertainty in the LGBTQIA+ community across the country. The Folkestone Bookshop has been providing invaluable support to organise and protect people within the local community.
This meeting is an opportunity for Green Party members and councillors to speak with the local trans community to understand how we can best support them going forward, and an opportunity for local LGBTQIA+ organisers and residents to speak with councillors about how best to make their voice heard in all levels of local government.
This event is open to Green Party members and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Folkestone & Hythe.
