The agenda for next week’s full council meeting at KCC was published on Thursday 11th September and we were dismayed to see a proposal to rescind the Climate Emergency Declaration which was proposed by our very own Martin Whybrow when he was the sole Green on KCC.
See item 13 on the agenda:
As you will see the supporting paper (which is written by Reform not council officers) is full of dubious references and conspiracy theories.
If you can, please support our Green councillors at KCC who will be arguing against this proposal next Thursday 18th September by attending the protest outside County Hall. Be on the steps between 8.30 and 9.45 am. The meeting is open to the public so if you are able to, please then move to the public gallery.
If you aren’t able to attend the protest you can still help by writing to your local KCC councillor setting out briefly why you think the Climate Emergency Declaration is so important.
